Emily is a native Kansan who received her Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training and Natural Sciences from Bethel College in North Newton, KS. Following graduation she served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Hesston College. From there she went on to Wichita State University where she received her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. She worked at a Sports and Family Medicine Clinic prior to joining Andover Family Medicine. She is a member of both the Kansas Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She loves that primary care allows her to be involved in every aspect of a patient’s care and that she can still incorporate her Athletic Training background. She is married with two kids and one more on the way. She enjoys going to sporting events with her family, exercising, reading and crafting.
